A Land O' Lakes kitchen leak that hid in the island and cabinets
On our first visit the floors and rugs read dry. The water was in the kitchen island drywall and cabinets. We dried what could be dried, and when the base cabinets came out, their bottoms had microbial growth, so they did not go back in.

What we found
There was visible water damage on the kitchen cabinets, toe kicks and quarter round. We took readings across the flooring and found no elevated moisture there, and the area rugs and floor mats were dry too. The readings were high in the drywall of the kitchen island and inside the island cabinets.
What we did
We removed the toe kicks and quarter round from the affected cabinets and the baseboards in the kitchen and dining room so the hidden cavities could dry. Air movers went around the island and under the cabinets, with a dehumidifier and an air scrubber running.
When the base cabinets were removed, the bottoms showed heavy microbial growth. We recommended against reinstalling them anywhere. We removed the affected island drywall and the kitchen flooring until no moisture remained, HEPA-vacuumed everything, applied antimicrobial, and left an air scrubber running inside containment.
